Thank you Vitor for your fast response.
I took one of your src.rpm files and tried to adapt the spec file of Postgre
8.3 with the one from you.
Still no luck, I got the same error. 
I've also tried to do as you said  :

" rpmbuild --rebuild --define 'dist .fc9' --define 'runselftest 0' 
/path/to/postgresql/source/rpm"

but the define option I think is deprecated. I googled it:
