[Pgcluster-general] General question from lurker

Hello all,

I have been lurking on this list looking for a solution to a problem I
have.

I operate in a mixed OS environment in which our primary database
servers run PostgreSQL on Linux (GenToo). Now I have a requirement for
laptop based remote systems likely running WinXP. I require some
synchronization of data but not all. It is my impression that PGCluster
is a true full synchronization agent and thus is not appropriate for
this task (Strike 1) and it has no windoze port at this time (Strike 2).
Is this correct?

I found very little documentation on pgfoundry. Is more available?

Is there any plan to support Windows?

I may still setup a multi-master system in the near future for Linux
systems that are geographically remote with a lowish bandwidth network.

Thank you all for developing this product! Hopefully I will soon join
the ranks.

Regards

	Joe
